Now, a company can be formed in just an hour
Incorporation of a company in India is now just an hour-long affair. On August 1, the Registrar of Companies for the National Capital Territory let entrepreneur Pawan Kumar Vijay incorporate a private limited company within an hour after he applied for it electronically. The new company, Corporate Professionals eSolutions, was incorporated after completing all formalities and in due adherence to statutory needs like submission of MoU.
“This is a record of sorts. Even in the US, it takes an average of three days to incorporate a private limited company. In the UK, which is known for faster delivery of Government services, a company can’t be formed in less than four hours,” says Minister for Company Affairs, Prem Chand Gupta.
