EDITOR'S DESK

This was the third straight year that the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs held a regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) outside India. In September, it was The Hague in Holland that hosted a day-long PBD. In 2007 and 2008 the regional PBD events had been held at New York and Singapore. Among others, PBD Europe was attended by former Dutch Prime Minister Ruud Lubbers, current Minister Piet Hien Donner and Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi.
