On January 26, on the occasion of the 25th Lunar New Year Celebrations, the Asian American Coalition of Chicago gave away honours to deserving members of the community. The event took place in the presence of a large turnout at the Donald E Stephens Convention Centre in Rosemont, Illinois. Among those in attendance were Illinois Lt Governor Pat Quinn, Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, Palatine Illinois Mayor Rita Mullins and Judge Margarita Kulys Hoffman
