Few men have grabbed the imagination of one nation so swiftly, and so strongly, like cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni have. Both are 24, and are precociously talented. Dhoni already has several world records to his credit.

He now has the highest strike rate in one day cricket and the highest batting average in the same form of the game. He also has the highest one day score for a wicketkeeper.

Yuvraj is turning out to be one of the best attacking finishers in the game of cricket. Both are such a joy to behold. Dhoni was the player of the series against Sri Lanka in December, Yuvraj won the same honour against Pakistan in February.

There is absolutely nothing that these two cannot do with the willow, and it is romantic and inspiring to see them tame quality opposition time and again. We have chosen to pay our tributes to them in our cover story; more so since we are on the brink of what promises to be another eventful series, the one against England.
