6 Indians among best paid execs in Bay Area
Six Indians are among Silicon Valley’s highest paid executives. Shantanu
Narayen, president and COO of Adobe Systems is ranked 31 in the list followed by Sanjay Mehrotra, EVP and COO of SanDisk.
The San Jose Mercury News, which released the list, ranked executives of 150 largest companies based on sales in 2005. The paper said their total compensation includes salary, bonuses, commissions, the dollar value of restricted stock awards and gains from exercising stock options.
Narayen is ranked 38 in the list with an annual package of $14,195,360. He is closely followed by Mehrotra at 39. His annual compensation is $13,792,580. Ranked a distant 61 is the chief financial officer of eBay Rajiv Datta who is drawing an annual salary of $9,105,037 and 10 ranks below him at 71 is Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice-president of HP. He draws $7,042,920. Next in the list at 89 is Abhijit Talwarkar, the CEO and president and CEO of LSI Logic. His annual draw is $4,906,424. Ten rungs below him at 99 is Kamal Agarwal, the executive president of National Semiconductors. His annual take home is $4,417,920.
