REPORT CARD BLUES

I agree with your June cover story, Not Quite The A List. While the UPA has appreciated the efforts of its ministers during its one year in power, it has also pulled up those who have not performed well. On that account, it is a fair evaluation. But there is also the problem of the coalition that has hindered the working of India’s progressive PM.

Most of us are taking the report card of the UPA at face value. It is good that you have given an opinionated yet objective view, but I do believe that there is always a lot left unsaid by the media that we as intelligent citizens of the country should see.

FARE DEALS
Refer to Air Fares (IE June 2005). Air travel saves time that can be utilised for business activity or for leisure and pleasure when one is on a holiday. It results in convenience, and improves the efficiency too.

TAKE IT EASY, HOLLYWOOD
Apropos “Mallika Sherawat” (Hot Types, IE June 2005). This film actress has stunned even Hollywood’s sirens like Dolly Patron, Britney Spears and Pamela Anderson, with her brazen display of skin.

Bollywood Buzz had great pictures but there should have been more masala in the stories. The Mumbai movie scene, we know, isn’t just about a pretty face here or that flash of thigh there. It’s about what the stars are up to. I’m sure, your reporters can dig out that spice.
