NEWSMAKERS 2012

Newsmakers are a dime a dozen, but when it comes to making news for the right reasons it is always a tough choice for editorial desks. More so, when the segment to choose from is as scattered, as diverse and as varied in its emigration history as the Indian Diaspora. Overseas Indian newsmakers for 2012 in our list come from the U.K., U.S.A., U.A.E., Malaysia, Trinidad and Tobago, Madagascar, Australia, and Ireland. We had to leave someone as known as Rajat Gupta out, because even though he did make news, it was shorn of the positive impact that some of the other newsmakers have had in 2012. Write to us or call us if you had other choices in mind. Or even if you agreed—Editor
