Geetee Travels, a Mumbai based private travel company, which shot to fame after providing its fleet services for US President Barack Obama’s recent visit to India, plans to invest Rs ten crore to increase its fleet size and provide car rental service across India. The company also plans to list itself on Bombay Stock Exchange
(BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) by 2015.
Geetee Travels provided more than 200 cars for executive level apart from providing Mercedes coaches and specialised vans for sniffer dogs during the US President’s visit. “Even though we did not carry any promotional activities, we are thankful to the media for putting our company in the limelight during the recent visit of US President’s visit to India. Due to this, within 15 days, we witnessed an increase in customer enquiries each day,” said Biren

Geetee Travels has over 300 operators across 28 cities in India and primarily provides services such as passenger level, executive level, economy cars and coaches to mid-segment and high-end segment
travellers. Some of the cars that the company offers for its mid-segment customers include Mahindra Logan, Toyota
Innova, Maruti Swift Desire, Mahindra Xylo and Mahindra
Scropio. The company has a standardised tariff which ranges between Rs 1,450 (mid-segment cars) to maximum Rs 22,000 for BMW 7 Series.
“Ideally we started as any other travel company only catering to mid-segment in 2002 but then realised that the high-end segment was untouched, and with a view to expand our services we refurnished our business and launched our luxury services with Mercedes S class in 2004 and later on added BMW series in 2005,” added
