Vasthu Shastra formula for World Peace

The ancient Indian science of construction called Vaastu Shastra can help in reducing tensions and problems in the world via the harmonious orientation of every individual’s house.
The 5,000-year-old science is the formula for global peace because in order for the world to be in harmony, every dweller should be in peace first.

When occupants in a house are in peace, they will spread serenity to the neighbourhood, and this tranquility will shroud the town, country and the world. In short, peace starts at home and not in the White House or the United Nations.

When a person is not in peace in his or her home, the individual will not be able to make rational decisions or actions when they are out at work or undertaking any task, says Selva who has raised the goodness of Vaastu Shastra at the World Peace Summit committee in Geneva in 2004. Vaastu Shastra is based on the arrangements and balancing of the five elements—ether, air, fire, water and earth in their proper order and proportions.

It focuses on the law of nature and flow of energy and anyone living in tune with the cosmic forces will enjoy beneficial energy flowing into their property. Anyone observing the principles of Vaastu Shastra in any enclosed space will be blessed with health, prosperity, happiness, joy, peace of mind and love. A dweller in harmony with the environment will enjoy a less stressful life. Vaastu Shastra is a universal science and it can be observed in any part of the world.

It is not magic, superstition or a religion, although some of its followers may consider it part of their religious rituals. It also does not work on a belief system and Vaastu Shastra is not a question of faith but a fact of life. The recommended time to follow it is when an individual is purchasing, designing, renovating, leasing or building a property.

If a dweller is experiencing problem like financial, health, relationship, disunity, depression, and unhappiness, etc, the individual is urged to observe Vaastu principles to ease the situation. Selva says if the placements of things in a property are followed above 50 per cent as per Vaastu Shastra, the dweller can see improvements in several weeks.

Selva, who has authored six books on Indian wisdoms, says currently Vaastu Shastra is widely practised outside India particularly in America, Europe, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.
He says more and more people are seeking alternative sciences like Vaastu Shastra, astrology, yoga and other Indian knowledge because modern sciences have failed to provide the desired results to people.

“Those following Vaastu Shastra can be assured of good health, happiness, peace of mind and prosperity,” says Selva who is the first person outside India to give talks on Vaastu Shastra extensively worldwide. Selva has so far given over 230 Vaastu Shastra talks in Florida, London, Sydney, Perth, Brunei, Singapore, Delhi, Chennai and Malaysia and spreads the knowledge freely to people. He believes in service to man is service to God.

Selva currently provides daily tips on Vaastu Shastra on Malaysian radio and television and also writes a Sunday column on Vaastu Shastra Malaysia’s leading newspaper The Star.
His latest book titled Vaastu Shastra Guide has hit the best seller list and it is now available in English and Tamil. The author can be contacted at tselvas@pd.jaring.my.
