Being one of the most fast-changing and investor-friendly economies in the region, along with a record number of 10 million foreign tourist arrivals in 2016, Vietnam is emerging as an increasingly attractive destination for Indian investors and tourists. Given the long-standing business and cultural linkages strengthened by high mutual trust, Vietnam and India are enhancing interactions across all areas, from politics, defence to economic, scientific, educational and cultural engagements. Celebrating 45 years of diplomatic relations, 10 years of Strategic Partnership and one year of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and India, we believe 2017 would be marked by many bilateral activities, including the launch of much-awaited non-stop flights which will intensify people-to-people exchanges and unlock other potentials to further boost trade, investment and tourism between our two countries.
