International Solar Festival-Solar Energy is the most powerful source of all energies.
Thanks to the International Solar Alliance in organizing the first International Solar Festival. My country Paraguay became the 100th member to ratify the agreement and fully support the event which will enhance and promote the use of solar energy to empower the underserved rural community, gender equality and facilitate equal access to energy. We also expect from this event new business models that favour the joint demand for solar technology from different countries; reduced costs; improved access to finance by reducing risks and making the sector more attractive for private investment.

I would certainly affirm that the relations between India and Paraguay are currently at their best momentum. Over recent years, both countries have displayed a deep commitment to fostering a robust partnership, marked by high-level visits at the Ministerial level, Private Sector Leaders and an increasing exchange of trade and investment. The strengthening of diplomatic ties has further solidified the bond between our two nations, paving the way for enhanced collaboration in various fields.
The increasing cultural exchanges and growing interest in each other's heritage serve as a testament to the deepening bond between our nations, laying a strong foundation for an even more prosperous and enduring partnership in the years to come
The present state of relations between India and Paraguay reflects a shared vision for mutual prosperity and development. Both countries have been proactive in identifying areas of common interest and leveraging each other's strengths to drive economic growth and innovation. This has led to new projects and a lot of optimism regarding the future of our bilateral relationship.

Major foreign direct investors in Paraguay include the USA, Brazil and Spain. We are working very hard to attract investments and, therefore, we are becoming more attractive as a business and investment destination. In the last three years at least 200 middle-sized companies have been established in Paraguay. Even though we cannot compete directly with our bigger neighbors, we can certainly complement them. Our international trade is on the rise and we are supported by strategic logistical facilities. Our larger trading partners include Brazil, Chile, Russia, Argentina and India (primarily soya oil).
