Over the last few years we at the Embassy of Greece have observed a constant increase in the number of Indian citizens choosing our country as the destination for their leisure trips. Last year over 24 thousand visas were issued by this Embassy. Our services do their best to cater to the growing demand from various parts of India. This trend represents a welcome contribution to people-to-people contacts between our two ancient nations that had contacted each other initially 2400 years ago in what proved to be the first fortunate experiment of cultural fusion in world history. Indians like the warmth of the Greek people and their way of life, the amazing beauty of our landscapes and the wealth of sight-seeing offered by Greece.
