DIPLOMATS TO INDIA EMPIRE
Select The Country:
CHILE
SEPTEMBER 2024
In 2023, Chile had the honour of becoming a full Member Country of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), after having signed and ratified the ISA Framework Agreement and its Amendment. Chile is very interested in developing its national potential in the use of new and renewable sources of energy, within which solar energy is a relevant example. In this regard, the International Solar Festival of the ISA provides a great platform to position solar energy as an important means for tackling climate change and working towards sustainable development.

The Government of Chile congratulates Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his assumption for a second consecutive period in power. Chile is looking forward to strengthen its bilateral cooperation, which has translated in enhanced political, economic and sectoral dialogue, whose highest point was shown in the recent visit to Chile of His Excellency the President of India Ram Nath Kovind. The Government of Chile will continue engaging with India in the ongoing efforts in areas of mutual understanding and interest, such as deepening our trade relations, clean energy, mining, health and medicine, agriculture, cooperation on disability, culture, innovation, science and technology, aero-space, astronomy. We hope to contribute to develop, equally, to a shared vision of fruitful bilateral relationship, taking into account that this year celebrates 70 years of bilateral relations between both countries
