Next year, Belgium and India will celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations. A century ago, Indian troops valiantly defended Belgium's territorial integrity during the Great War, their names are inscribed on India Gate, and the Menin Gate in Ypres. As Prime Minister Modi said on 30 March in Brussels, our bilateral ties are strong. Belgian companies help India in the Clean Ganga project and to make Smart Cities, and Belgium is more than ever the gateway to Europe for Indian companies.
