Also, after a gap of two years, the Indian Government gave away the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards to 30 individuals and institutions. Among those who received the award included President of Suriname Chandrikapersad Santokhi whom we featured in a cover interview in our December 2020 edition. Also, the award went to prominent journalist from Reunion Island, Jean Regis Ramasamy who is on our Global Advisory Board. There’s a brief report.
