Sadhana Mandir Trust is the ashram established by Gurudev ...

By Swami Ritavan

Swami Veda, until his maha-samadhi in 2015, actively taught and guided sadhakas at both Sadhana Mandir and SRSG, as well as teaching and inspiring students throughout the world. During his Full Moon Meditations, he connected with like-minded aspirants on all continents bringing peace and solace to the minds and hearts of humanity. His 5000 lectures and guided meditations have become an extensive audio-video library that is slowly becoming publications and audio resources nurturing the lives of sadhakas and souls of the spiritually ambitious.

In 2013, he began his 5-year vow of silence after many years of guiding silence retreats and speaking on the benefits of a lifestyle that embraced periods of silence. He said, “In silence, the face of God will make its appearance. It is like a fire on one’s head or as Arjuna describes in the Gita, “The light of 10 thousand suns shining simultaneously in the sky.” In our interior sky of consciousness that expansive space becomes the light-covered face of God. That light is the “jyoti” of the Vedas and the “noor” of the Quran, or the “transfiguration” of Jesus for the Christians. Our meditative tradition draws from these examples and explains the teachings of the mystics, saints and yogis of the past who have inspired humanity.
