Please tell us more about the Himalayan Hospital at SRHU, the largest super-specialty post graduate teaching hospital in Uttarakhand…
Himalayan Hospital is the largest private teaching hospital in northern India with 1200 beds. There are around 650 medical colleges in the country. The Himalayan Hospital is among the very few NABH-accredited teaching hospitals in the country. The hospital is not only serving the people of Uttarakhand but also western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab.
Since service is the main motto of the organization, we try to ensure that quality health services are provided to the patients visiting our Himalayan Hospital and Cancer Institute. The OPD fees are only Rs. 30/. In a day, the patient can have the consultation of as many specialists as necessary. 75% of beds are general and teaching beds. Charges for a general ward bed is Rs. 400/ per day including doctors visit, nursing care, linens and three meals. Medicine and consumables are provided at cost price + 25%. Affordable routine and advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities are provided under one roof in almost every branch of medicine by a qualified and dedicated team of doctors, nursing, paramedical and other staff.
Besides the general facilities, the hospital has facilities for Dialysis and Kidney Transplant, Cardiology and Thoracic surgeries, Gastroenterology, Cancer Surgery, Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Knee and Hip replacement, Spine surgeries, complicated gynecological surgeries, Retinal surgeries and plastic surgeries. Till date, we have performed 8500 free cleft lip and palate surgeries in collaboration with Smile Train organization.
