If the economy grows, housing gets better, quicker
—Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO, JPMorgan Chase
As head of the largest of the big four American banks, Jamie Dimon would know a thing or two about the economy and housing. Dimon’s words ring true in India as well, where the housing sector is just about trying to recover from a prolonged slump. The Vice President of the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), Mr Parveen Jain, himself a real estate magnate of repute—he’s the Chairman and Managing Director of Tulip Infratech Pvt. Ltd.—also echoes the sentiments shared by Dimon.
On the cover is the Tulip Yellow project that Mr Jain is launching in Gurugram. He calls it a new generation group housing project. Business Editor Yogesh Sood who has tracked the real estate segment for over two decades has gone into details of the project, and we’ve put the story on the cover.
