Just as a highly testy and extended session of Indian ...

“I haven’t seen any place more pleasant than Biarritz…” It was in Biarritz on the Atlantic Coast where India was a special invitee at the G7 Summit. The G7 includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, UK, USA, and the EU. The invited nations apart from India were Australia, Burkina Faso, Chile, Egypt, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa and Spain. It was at Biarritz that Mr Modi had a meeting on the sidelines with American President Donald Trump, British PM Boris Johnson and other world leaders including the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. Each time the issue of Kashmir came up, the PM was convincingly able to articulate India’s right over Kashmir, and why it had become imperative to remove Article 370 from the Indian Constitution. German Ambassador Walter J Linder has commented that Indo-German strategic ties are at a new high. He speaks about German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s impending visit to India in November for the biennial inter-Governmental meeting for which preparations are in full swing. Elsewhere in the magazine there are plenty of stories to navigate through. Hope your experience is nice.
