At least Thirty Indian business women have declared interest in Zambia as a destination of choice for trade and tourism. Speaking when a delegation of thirty women where hosted at Zambia High Commission in new Delhi, India, womenovator Founder Tripti Shinghal said the delegation is interested in discussions that will result in visible progress.
She said Womenovato has a robust network of women entrepreneurs desirous of expanding their businesses globally to countries of vast opportunities such as Zambia. Ms Shinghal said Womenovator is keen to take a delegation of women to Zambia and also host delegation from Zambia to encourage the empowerment of women entrepreneurs.
She explained that WOMENOVATOR was started in the year 2014 with the motive in mind to make a virtual incubator for women entrepreneurs who have exceptional ideas and want to get a platform to grow. Ms Shingal said this is achieved through business education and training, mentoring and networking, among others. And addressing the delegation, Zambia’s High Commissioner to India Judith Kapinjimpanga said Zambia remains the best destination for trade and tourism because of peace spanning from 1964 when the country became independent.
She has urged the women to take part in the Southern Province Investment Expo, Zambia Agriculture and Commercial Show, Zambia International Trade Fair, North Western Province Investment Expo, Copperbelt Investment Expo, and Zambia Economic Summit in Livingstone. Ms Kapijimpanga said the Mission will endeavor to link the Indian business women to relevant stakeholders such as Zambia Development Agency—ZDA and Zambia Chambers of Commerce and Industry—ZACCI for further collaboration.
