PM Modi’s outreach to the Indian diaspora in Cyprus was met with passionate chants of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” signalling the emotional resonance of the visit among overseas Indians. Among the crowd, one attendee held a yellow placard reading:

“Jai Hind, Operation Sindoor, Justice is Served” — a clear reference to India’s recent counterterrorism operation that resonated globally.

The visit formed part of PM Modi’s three-nation tour and preceded his participation at the G7 Summit in Canada, showcasing India’s strategic diplomacy through both historical ties and forward-looking cooperation.
