What is your message to those who study at the NDIM and want to become entrepreneurs?
To the students of NDIM who aspire to become entrepreneurs, my message is simple: Believe in your vision, and be relentless in its pursuit. Entrepreneurship is not just about having a great idea; it’s about the perseverance and courage to bring that idea to life, despite the challenges and setbacks that will inevitably come your way.
At NDIM, you are gaining a foundation not only in business principles but also in critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership—skills that are essential for entrepreneurship. Use this time to experiment, make mistakes, and learn from them. Build a network, seek mentors, and never stop learning.
Remember, success rarely happens overnight. The journey of an entrepreneur is filled with uncertainty and continued challenges, but if you stay true to your passion and remain adaptable, you will find your dreams making headlines. Be patient with the process and, most importantly, never let the fear of failure hold you back. As I often say, success will chase those who stay determined, work smart, create good teams, and rise up again and again from the setbacks. The journey is extremely interesting and rewarding if you have courage and perseverance.
What kind of roles do you play with leading chambers of commerce and industry in the country?
Leading business chambers of the country provide tremendous opportunities of learning the global expectations in different areas. Therefore, our faculty and students are sent to these conferences, seminars and workshops to understand where the future possibilities would be emerging and what are the skills and strengths required in them to stay on the top. Additionally, we have informed the stakeholders in these business chambers that they use our auditorium, conference rooms and infrastructure free of any payment with the intention that they visit our campus as often as they can and participate in our effort of grooming the students to their future expectations. We have sent several of our faculty on their national level committees of different activities which adds to the exposure and confidence of the faculty and creates more confidence of the industry in our professors.
I have been the education chair and co-chair of one of the oldest business chambers for four years and I am on the executive of other business chambers especially related to the education, skills and their entrepreneurial activities which connects us to the renowned professionals in this sector and also gives us the platform to communicate our innovation in this sector and to create bigger confidence about us in their mind.
