The Evolving Needs and Scope of the Indian Pet Healthcare Industry

DCC Animal Hospital was envisioned and founded in 2019 by A’alda Pvt. Ltd, which operates in several countries including Japan and India.

Ohhun Kwon, Director, A’Alda Vet India Pvt. Ltd, said, “DCC Animal Hospital aims to open 10 new outlets within the next few years, expanding its operations in nearby cities like Jaipur and Chandigarh, as well as to metros like Mumbai and Bangalore.”

The Indian pet healthcare industry is growing at a fantastic pace, and is opening up a volley of new business opportunities. However, there still lies a huge gap between the demand and supply. Moving ahead, the pet healthcare industry needs a push from the government and its different bodies. It needs quality veterinarian colleges in rural and semi-urban areas that can not only educate the people about the need for proper veterinary healthcare, but also provide proper care to the pets.

The Government must also promote the need for education in this sector through its Education Ministry, and highlight the potential of the rapidly growing industry. With a rising demand for qualified and expert veterinarians, this also possesses massive employment potential for the future. As a result, innovation, upskilling, and funding are needs of the hour, along with the help and guidance of experienced veterans and experts in the sector.
