Without a shadow of doubt, Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s Executive Chairman and CEO, does feel honoured leading his company. In turn, the world has found ways to honour him. In late January 2022, one of the planet’s leading brand valuation consultancies, Brand Finance, named him as the globe’s top CEO in a report. Titled Brand Finance Global 500 2022, the report credits the Microsoft CEO with overhauling the tech giant’s fortunes by changing its culture to one of teamwork, innovation, inclusivity and instilling a growth-oriented mindset in its business space.

The Brand Guardianship Index which actually does the ranking evaluates the performance of chief executives based on their skills and endurance on managing and growing their company’s brand. The ranking takes into account results of an original survey of over 1,000 market analysts and journalists. The world’s top 250 CEOs are drawn from a sample of over 500 chief executives who boss the world’s top companies.
