Bangabandhu Media Centre

The Press Club of India (PCI) was established in 1958 in the heart of New Delhi, on Raisina Road. It has over 4,000 members, representing various newspapers, periodicals, TV channels and portals. In September, the Bangladesh Government established a Bangabandhu Centre at this venue, the first of its kind in the history of the PCI. It comes in the year of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Father of the Nation of Bangladesh. It also is the 50th year of Independence of Bangladesh, and the 50th year of establishment of diplomatic ties between India and Bangladesh. An inspirational documentary on the life of Bangabandhu was screened on the occasion. Mr Gautam Lahiri, former President of PCI, initiated proceedings
