The Embassy of Luxembourg in New Delhi has the pleasure to announce the bestowment of the “Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg” to the Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Kolkata, MrRajatDalmia. The Honorary Consul received the Order of Merit during a ceremony hosted by the Ambassador of Luxembourg, H.E. Mr Jean Claude Kugener, at the Amar Nath Sehgal Collection in New Delhi on 13 August 2021.

Ambassador Kugener indicated that he was honoured to award the Honorary Consul with the “Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg” which was conferred by His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Luxembourg following the recommendation of the Government.

Mr Rajat Dalmia received this honour for his loyal and longstanding services as the Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Kolkata for more than 12 years. The Luxembourg Consulate in Kolkata has the jurisdiction over the states of West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim and Tripura.
