Legal formalities

There are some legal formalities which have to be filed before getting married in Mauritius for any couple. In Mauritius it’s mandatory to register your marriage. Also always make sure that your passport is valid for more than six months after your return date. If not, you need to apply for the new one. So it is important to check the date on your passport before planning. As per most of the hotels’ policy, final dues are called 10 weeks prior to your travel. So it’s always better to discuss before this time, if there is any change required by you or any extra additions as well can be taken care of by them on special request.

About 3 weeks before your travel you will receive your travel wallet by the hotel which carries all your documents, itinerary and sometimes even cards to give out so that people can contact the concerned team easily on arrival with no tension at all. It is always important to plan one extra day in your itinerary, which is the first day, so that you can relax on the day of arrival and can enjoy your functions from the next day onwards. So, the day you or your guests arrive it’s better to sip your cocktail, relax by the side of the pool or even you can enjoy the breathtaking spas menu available at the property with your bride’s maid.
