We’ve reproduced an article by H.E. Mr Muhammad Imran, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, published in the book Rising Bangladesh. High Commissioner Imran quite rightly points out that “Bangladesh is no more the same country the world used to know in the past. Earlier, conversations on Bangladesh were dominated by poverty, natural calamities, aids and donations. Today, Bangladesh has become a role model for fighting poverty, empowering women and disaster management.”

Elsewhere in the magazine, Ethiopian Ambassador to India H.E. Tizita Mulugeta interacted with the All India Association of Industries. Ethiopia has had a sustained double-digit GDP growth in the last 14 years and India has been a key partner in this growth trajectory. Some 30 Indian firms are planning projects in this second-most populous country of Africa. Vietnam’s Ambassador to India H.E. Pham Sanh Chau has sought increased cooperation with industries and the travel community based in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. Vietnam, he mentioned, is also a perfect destination for dream weddings.
