From an investment point of view, what are the main areas of investments that businesses in India can look forward to in Vietnam, and why?

The first investment project in Vietnam was the ONGC gas exploitation in 1988. At present, India had 111 projects in Vietnam with total investment of about $530 million or $1 billion if investments by Indian companies from third countries are included. India ranks 27 out of 105 foreign investors in Vietnam. Many big groups in India such as Adani, Shapoorjee, Eicher, Escorts…are looking for investment opportunities in Vietnam. Vietnamese governement welcomes Indian companies to invest in areas such energy (especially in petroleum exploration and exploitation, electricity production), infrastructure, textiles, chemicals, machinery, agro-processing and information technology.
