BCPL Boost TO NE

 The Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizer Mr Ananth Kumar has said that the Brahamputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BPCL) at Lepetkata near Dibrugarh, Assam will give a huge boost to the Plastics Industry and generation of massive employment to the tune of one lakh in North-East Region. He was speaking at the ceremony in Dibrugarh where the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi dedicated the BCPL plant to the nation. He said that the plant which has a capacity of producing 3 lakh tons of polymers per annum, will attract huge investments in setting up of downstream industries. Mr Kumar said the BVFCL plant will be revived in the next 3 years and it will produce 8 lakh metric tons of urea, fulfilling the requirements of the North-East Region. He expressed the hope that the initiative of the Government of India under the dynamic leadership of Mr Modi will provide an enabling Eco-System for setting up new plastics industry in Assam.
