WorldSkills is the global hub for skills excellence and development. Through international cooperation and development between the industry, government, organizations, and institutions, benefits of and the need for skilled professionals is promoted the through grass-roots community projects, skill competitions, and knowledge exchange. Today, WorldSkills represents more than 50 skills in over 75 member countries and regions, all working together with youth, educators and industries to help prepare the workforce and talent of today for the jobs of the future.
We through our WorldSkills India initiative under the guidance of MSDE and NSDC, have been hosting the country’s chapter of WorldSkills International competitions since 2011. This year, Team India created history by winning One Silver, One Bronze and Nine Medallion of Excellence at the 44th WorldSkills competition concluded in Abu Dhabi and has brought huge pride to the nation. This is India’s best performance since it started participating at these competitions in 2007. The Indian team was competing with candidates from 59 other WorldSkills member countries.
