What kind of arts and crafts items of Telangana can be added to the tourist’s shopping cart?

Handicrafts have always been an integral part of Indian art and crafts. Telangana is yet another great place for such crafts. The region offers many astounding arts and crafts. Hyderabad is also known as the city of Pearls and Charminar/Laad Bazar are popular places to buy the famous bangles and pearls. Pochampally and Gadwal Sarees are choice of tourists visiting the State. Bidri craft is yet another craft that serves as the pride of the Telangana region. This unique art of silver engraved on metal has always enthralled people with its lure. Banjaras or the Gypsies are important tribes of Telangana. Banjara Needle Crafts are some of the traditional handmade fabrics made by Banjaras in Telangana.

Dokra Metal craft is quite popular in the tribal regions of Telangana. Dhokra or Dokra also known as bell metal craft is a tribal metal craft widely seen in Jainoor Mandal, Adilabad District of Telangana. Nirmal town of Adilabad district is known for its varied range of handicrafts and famous Nirmal paintings. Telangana is famous world-wide for its amazing Bronze castings.
